P.D. James’s Austen-inspired murder mystery turned Yorkshire into a stage of secrets. Castle Howard, York Minster, St William’s College, Treasurer’s House, and York Castle Museum all feature, giving visitors the chance to retrace the intrigue across some of the region’s most striking heritage settings.

Agatha Christie’s classic detective tale brought Poirot to Yorkshire, with Pickering Station on North York Moors Railway the setting for 1930s rail. Wander the station platforms, embark on a heritage train, and you’ll feel the suspense of stepping into a world of vintage mystery.

Set in the city of York, Patience is a crime drama that aired in 2025.
