About

Come along to Sledmere House and Gardens on Sunday 13th September for a talk and driving demonstration from the Wagoners Museum.

The Wagoners Museum at Sledmere tells the story of the men who worked with horses on the farms and estates of the Yorkshire Wolds, and later served during the First World War.

The Wagoners Museum, in partnership with the Northern Heavy Horse Society and courtesy of Sir Tatton Sykes Bt, will be holding two special demonstrations during the day.

There will be a talk from Martin Watts, followed by:

Shire Horses with Wolds Wagon demonstration
Pair of Percheron Heavy Horses with the GS Wagon demonstration

Meet in the Stable Block at either 12pm or 2.30pm. The talk and demonstration will last approximately one hour.

Included with entry to the Parkland and Gardens.

Please note that Sledmere House is closed for Guided Tours on Sunday 13th September.
