A Spooktacular Halloween at Eden Camp! 🎃👻
Looking for family-friendly fun this October half term? Join us at Eden Camp for a Spooktacular week of Halloween thrills, crafts, and eerie excitement! Perfect for children of all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy.
Step back in time and explore the sights, sounds and smells of a time gone by! You and your family will journey back in time to explore what life was like on both the Home Front and Front Line during the Second World War.
Explore the 22 original POW huts and discover personal tributes and unique stories through immersive displays covering various aspects such as The Blitz, the Street at War (with rationing and fashions), the Home Guard, Evacuation, the Battle of Britain, and VE & VJ Day.
We have our traditional war games dotted around the museum all week, and talks with members of the team inside our Heritage Hall!
Educational Workshops
Get hands-on with history and creativity in our special Halloween-themed workshops!
- Wednesday 30th October | Peg Planes (1pm – 2pm)
Let your imagination take flight! Create your very own Peg Plane to take home as a souvenir. - Thursday 31st October | WitchCrafts (1pm – 2pm)
Learn all about the healing powers of herbs and medicine used during the war, and craft your own magical sensory spell bottle. Plus, colour in your very own spooky facemask! - Friday 1st November | Tank Egg Boxes (1pm – 2pm)
Reuse and recycle with a WWII twist! Turn everyday egg boxes into your very own tank and discover the magic of ‘make do and mend’!
