About

As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring start to bloom, what better way to greet the season than with the cheerful display of Primroses? These classic springtime favourites are nature’s way of announcing the arrival of warmer days!

You’re invited to join us and plant a party of colour in your garden this season as we celebrate all things Primroses from 17th February until 17th March across Yorkshire Garden Centres!

Over this next month, we’ll be sharing expert tips to help you keep your Primroses looking perfect, along with exclusive offers for Green Card members! Be sure to check out our how to guides and expert advice from our GREAT Team – we can’t wait to help you create a colourful party in your garden this spring!

Spring into the new season

Primroses are one of the first signs that spring is here (or just around the corner!) With their eye catching petal colours, they’ll immediately bring a splash of spring to your garden.

Welcome Wonderful Wildlife

Primroses aren’t just beautiful – they’re also great for welcoming pollinators into your garden. At this time of year, nectar can be scarce, and Primroses provide an early food source for bees and other pollinators who are buzzing to welcome the start of spring.

Plant a Party of Colour

Planting primroses creates a vibrant, ongoing display that’ll carry you through the season. It’s the perfect way to lift these dreary winter days!

How to plant your Primroses

Primroses are versatile and can thrive in almost any garden! Here are some of our favourite ways to plant them for maximum impact…

Brilliant Baskets

When planting hanging baskets, pair Primroses with trailing plants like ivy or begonias for a gorgeous cascading effect. The vibrant Primrose colours will create a striking contrast against the greenery.

Beautiful Borders

For a natural look, plant Primroses in groups of 5-7 along borders. This creates a beautiful, layered display that lasts throughout the spring. It’s an easy way to create a burst of colour without any fuss and providing your border doesn’t get too water logged, they’ll come back year after year!
