Hear Hans Zimmer’s epic Oscar-nominated Interstellar suite performed on York Minster’s magnificent Grand Organ this August.

10 years since the release of the Christopher Nolan’s ground-breaking blockbuster, star soloist Roger Sayer, who featured on the film’s official soundtrack, will bring the dystopian masterpiece to life in the cathedral’s awe-inspiring Nave.

Feel the world as we know it shrink away as Sayer takes us on a cosmic journey to the furthest corners of the solar system, through wormholes and blackholes into far-flung galaxies. Hear highlights from the film’s iconic score, alongside intergalactic favourites from A Space Odyssey and Holst’s The Planets.

Get ready for an out-of-this-world musical experience, suitable for all the family.

The concert will take place on Thursday 29 August at 7pm in York Minster’s Nave.

Each ticket includes a free, souvenir programme filled with stunning full-colour photographs of York Minster’s Grand Organ and programme notes written by the talented David Gammie. Programmes will be available to collect inside the building on the night of the performance.
