About

We are delighted to welcome Veronica Ongaro back to exhibit in 2024. With nature as the both a source of inspiration and the driving force of Veronica’s work, her varied work is always popular among our visitors. Nature’s colours and their combinations; the shapes and patterns; the simplicity and complexity of the natural world, in constant change, are represented in her linocuts, woodcuts, etchings and stained glass, examples of which will form this exhibition.

Veronica is a biologist and in January 2000, she moved to York to continue her studies in plant biology at the University of York. Since then, and concurrently with her line of work, she does printmaking and stained glass.

The art exhibitions are located in the tea room and are open to the public during regular garden opening times. Admission to the tea room and art exhibitions are free. The works of art are available to purchase, please ask at the entrance hut.

The exhibition will be open every Wednesday and Friday throughout September as well as the first (7th, 8th) and third (21st, 22nd) weekend. From 1pm to 5pm.
