Step into a magical historic home dressed for the season. Each room is beautifully decorated with festive touches inspired by the stories of past residents, including Frank Green, the house’s last owner.

- Explore the house at your own pace – no guided tours during the festive season.
- Discover bespoke decorations, many handmade by volunteers and local community groups.
- Each room reflects a different chapter of the house’s rich history.
Especially for families
- Take on the Stained-Glass Star Spotter Trail – a fun challenge for younger visitors.
- Look out for handcrafted stars by local artist Megan from Woodside Stained Glass.
A lighter & quieter Christmas
- Wednesdays, 2pm–4pm
- For those who prefer a calmer experience: lights on, shutters open, and no music.
Christmas shopping in York
- Visit the National Trust shop just around the corner.
- Find festive gifts, decorations, artisan crafts, and even a needle felting kit to make your own Treasurer’s House mouse.
