Our most in-depth James Herriot experience, combining the real-life story of Alf Wight – better known as James Herriot – with locations featured in Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small.

For us, the Herriot story is personal. Alf Wight and Donald Sinclair were vets for our family farm and members of our family worked at their veterinary practice, giving us a wonderful collection of family memories, local anecdotes and stories to share with our guests.

A visit to the World of James Herriot in Thirsk can also be included before travelling into the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park to discover beautiful countryside and filming locations, including Grassington, transformed into Darrowby for the television series.
