Join our worship for young people and families – Minster Mash-Up – and get ready for Advent!
For this special event, families are invited to join us at the lights switch-on for the York Minster Christmas Tree Festival as we prepare to mark the beginning of Advent and await the arrival of baby Jesus.
Families are invited to come at any time during the free 45-minute event, which starts at 10am, and stay for as long or as little as they like. No booking is required.
Minster Mash-Up sessions run throughout the year and explore the seasons in the Christian calendar, with different interactive opportunities each time including craft workshops, sensory activities, music and worship.

York Minster Opening Hours
General visiting:
Mon – Sat: 9.30am – 5pm (last admission 4pm)
Sun: 12.45pm – 3.30pm (last admission at 2.30pm).
