About
Come and lose yourself on a sea of sacred seasonal music evocative of the ancient Celtic church. York’s very own Celtic bard Olivia Graham serenades in the ancient tongues of the British Isles, accompanied by her plethora of traditional instruments. With ethereal pieces stretching back as far as the 6th century brought to you by candlelight, this is an enchanting opportunity to see Christmas-time through the eyes of pioneering Irish monks, Anglo-Saxon bards and the Northumbrian kings of old.
Tickets are priced at £12 and all proceeds are going to the Churches Conservation Trust which cares for this historic venue and over 350 other churches across England and Wales.
Run time: approx 60 minutes
Two shows: 1700 to 1800 and 1930 to 2030 - The same programme will be repeated at both performances.
Please wrap up warmly! The temperature inside the building is usually colder than outside. The building is wheelchair accessible (save for the Sunken Chapel), but the floors are uneven and light levels are low.
