OPEN AFTERNOON, QUAKER MEETING HOUSE, Friargate, YO1 1RL, 2-4.30pm. FREE ENTRY, booking not required. Find out what happens at a Quaker Meeting.  Join the Peace and Justice Poetry Open mic’ or “Come along and Sing”. Craft Group. Information. Displays. Quakerism has a long and distinguished history in York; think household names such as Cadbury and Rowntree. Quakers continue to have a significant presence in the city, and as part of our annual Quaker Week we are holding an Open House event which all are welcome to attend. We will be showcasing who we are, with a particular emphasis on Quaker creativity: music, poetry, and other creative arts.
