About Us
Within moments of stepping into the beautifully refurbished Principal York Hotel, it is apparent that it sets the standard for hotels in York and The Garden Room is the perfect setting to enjoy relaxing with family, meeting friends in the City or casually celebrating a special occasion.
We welcome residents and non-residents to The Garden Room where you can sit back and enjoy wonderful views across sweeping manicured gardens all the way to York Minster, with a wide ranging menu available throughout the day.
Whether you like your Eggs Benedict or Florentine, or prefer a selection of pastries with tea and coffee, we serve our morning options from 9am until 12. After which, we provide light lunches and sandwich options until 6pm. Later in the evening our charcuterie and cheese boards are ideal for sharing whilst the sun goes down over a lovely crisp wine, G&T or glass of Champagne.
