About Us

The Cut & Craft York is our original location and retains the timeless elegance and beauty of the historic building in which we began our journey as local restaurateurs. Located in St. Sampson's Square in the historic York city centre, we have created a premium dining experience that is both luxurious and accessible.

Dine from our set lunch menu 11am-430pm, Monday to Friday, to enjoy our famous rump steak & chips for just £19, as well as other choices including our house favourite fish butty. With 1 course for £19, 2 for £24 or 3 for £28, it's the perfect midweek treat. We also run a seasonal set menu Monday to Thursday evenings, with two courses for £26, as well as offering Sunday Roasts and Weekend Brunch.

Our A La Carte menu includes our house-butchered steaks, locally sourced and farm-fresh ingredients, seasonal offerings, including fresh fish specials from the East Coast. We also offer a thoughtfully crafted drinks menu featuring signature cocktails, local and international beers, a fine wine and Champagne list, and premium spirit selection.

The restaurant has recently undergone a significant refurbishment, investing into the city where it all began for us. The moment you step into The Cut & Craft restaurant in York, you will see why we are the premier destination for special occasions and events.
