Welcome to Queen Margaret's

Nestled amidst 75 acres of serene countryside, yet conveniently located just six miles from the historic City of York, our charming venue offers the perfect blend of accessibility and a picturesque rural setting.

Housed in a magnificent 17th Century Grade II listed building, Queen Margaret's School for Girls is available for private and corporate events, complemented by its stunning grounds.

In addition to our historic main building, we provide contemporary facilities for hire, such as a professional theatre seating 220, a beautiful library with a terrace, a Chapel for over 400 delegates, sports pitches, a spacious sports hall, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and comfortable accommodation, among other options.

To further enhance your experience, we offer ample parking, on-site facilities, group accommodations, and charming private cottages that can be rented.

A wide variety of boarding school accommodation from small cottages on our Main Street for up to 15 people, to dormitories sleeping between 3 - 10 people in each bedroom
