Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland is celebrating its 20th anniversary! With a 30ft high sparkling Christmas tree as its centrepiece, the ice rink is the largest in the North of England, and is surrounded by illuminated trees, the rink-side café and a viewing platform, creating the perfect festive setting.
Visit York members' are invited to attend a complimentary skate on the ice-rink at Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland on 2nd December at 6.15pm, for a 45-minute session. Skate hire is included in this invite, so please come 20 minutes early to change your footwear.
Please note: bookings are limited to two tickets per business due to the popularity of this event.
Date: Tuesday 2 December 2025
5:50pm Arrival - make your way to the chalet to collect your wristbands from the Visit York team, before picking up your ice skates.
6:15pm-7pm Skating session
Whilst you are there, you are welcome to purchase funfair tokens. The funfair has something for everyone – a Waltzer and Twister for the thrill-seekers, vintage Dodgems for all the family, as well as children’s rides and game stalls offering a prize every time.
The Chalet café offers winter-warming food and a licensed bar, while the terrace is an ideal spot to buy a hot chocolate and witness all the thrills and spills of skating up close! And the outdoor German Grill is sure to tickle the taste buds.
Follow the snowy woodland walk and glittering light tunnel to Santa’s Grotto, which is open until 5pm, where a warm welcome and special gift awaits. (Santa tickets are additional and must be purchased in advance).
