We are a short drive from the A19, one of the main routes to York so if you are looking to combine your holiday with a stay in the Countryside with easy access to the historic City of York, we are the ideal place for you.
If you like walking and cycling, the Cleveland Way National Trail and Coast to Coast Walks are nearby, there are plenty of footpaths leading to beauty spots and viewing points. We can store your bikes here. The stunning Mount Grace Priory owned by the National Trust and managed by English Heritage is only 4 miles away. The World of James Herriot Visitor Centre in Thirsk is only a short drive from Thimbleby, a must see for fans of the Author and TV series All Creatures Great and Small. The Guest Accommodation is in converted stables around a stable block each with their own private entrance and views of the open Countryside. The furniture in the rooms is made by local craftsmen including the famous Robert Thompson's 'Mouseman' oak furniture. Our Award winning breakfast is served in the main farmhouse with a good choice from the classic Full Yorkshire to homemade pancakes and we can cater for allergies and dietary requirements.
