Axe Throwing - Find out more

We all know Vikings loved their axes, so why not embrace your inner warrior and give axe throwing a go! No experience necessary, all Vikings had to start somewhere.

Our activity sessions are designed for beginners (and those in between), but with help from our ‘axe-pert’ coaches, and some battle banter, you’ll be ready to raid with Ragnar in no time. Our Axe Throwing experience includes various Axes, Throwing Angels and Throwing Spades, with lots of fun challenges and games - the lowest scorer ends up in the stocks (not kidding)!

Archery - Find Out More

Kinsmen Archery is the longest in the area, giving you a greater experience to learn and appreciate this historic and Olympic sport! Accuracy and precision are the names of the game as you take aim and fire. It’s friendly fun with a competitive edge as you take on the challenges and see who can rack up the most bullseyes and pop those pesky balloons.

Air Rifle Shooting - Find Out More

It’s more about brains than brawn, as you’ll find you need to concentrate on stability, calmness and co-ordination to be a hot shot! After an initial demonstration and practice, it’s time to check your stance, line up your shot ready for friendly competitive fun and target games.

Crossbows - Find Out More

Crossbow shooting is a brilliant must have experience. After initial demonstrations we have games and friendly competitions to improve your accuracy. Our crossbows are low poundage, making it easy to load, but our instructors will be on hand to help everyone in the group. For the best experience our sessions are smaller with a maximum of 8 people.

Find Us Next Door to Skipwith Wildlife Common:

You’ll find our outdoor activity centre approximately 8 miles south of York just of the A19. Located on the edge of Skipwith Common, a local protected nature reserve which has superb walks - free to park and explore.

Get Active with the Family

Our activity centre is the perfect choice for creating special memories with the whole family from ages 12+ to grandparents and great grandparents. An adult must be on site with under 18's if not participating.

Groups - Stag & Hen Parties | Teambuilding | Birthdays

Our activities individually are suitable for groups up to 16 people, and groups of up to 40 across activities - perfect for Stag and Hen Parties, Special Occasion Birthday Celebrations or Team Building Days and Staff Christmas Parties.
